Policy

The Vermont School Boards Association (VSBA) offers a Member-to-Member communication service to help connect board members with each other so that they may share best practices, learn from each other, and build community.

The VSBA reserves the right to review all Member-to-Member communication requests and responses prior to circulation to ensure the topic is appropriate for the service.  Topics that may not be appropriate for Member-to-Member discussion include:

  • Legal or policy questions
  • School or individual-specific questions or answers
  • Polls or surveys

Procedure

VSBA members can submit a proposed Member-to-Member question on the “Submit A Question” page.

VSBA staff will review the request to ensure the question is appropriate for the forum.  If VSBA determines the question is not appropriate for the Member-to-Member forum he or she will promptly respond to the member with an answer to his or her question.

If the the question is approved for Member to Member, it will be sent out to all VSBA members in an email titled “Member-to-Member Request.”

If a member has a response to a Member-to-Member question, he or she can submit their response via a comment box below the question on the Member to Member sites.  The response will be held in moderation until it is reviewed and approved by a VSBA staff member.

If a VSBA member is dissatisfied with the handling of his or her question or answer, he or she should speak with the VSBA Executive Director.
